Thank you to everyone who turned out and voted: turnout was up considerably, so the result reflects better what the ward thinks.

Macsene said "I would like to thank the Ouzel Valley residents for giving me the opportunity to serve you as a City Councillor.  I plan to support the current Youth agenda and to roll out additional initiatives to keep the young people of Ouzel Valley ward and Milton Keynes safe, healthy and engaged.

Uroy said “Thank you to everyone across our ward for your incredible support, encouragement, and belief in our shared vision for the community. I am truly grateful for the trust you have placed in me.”

Jenni said “Thank you for putting your trust in me, and all of us, once again.  It's been a frustrating year unable to act as your Councillor fully and it will be great to get started on the more complex problems we couldn't tackle before. Thank you.”

What Happens Next?

The political make-up of the Council after the election is: Lib Dem 20 Labour 19 Conservative 12 Reform UK 9

No party got close to a majority, so over the next few weeks there will be discussions about forming a coalition to run the Council.

What about Elections

This year, every seat went up for election as we started up the new wards.  But MK normally elects “in thirds” ie one councillor in each 3-person ward goes up for election each year, and the fourth year we have a year off.

After a boundary change, this is re-started by the councillor elected with the highest vote serving 4 years, the next serving 2 years and the one with the smallest vote serving 1 year. so:
Macsene will serve 1 year and the seat will be up for election in 2027.
Uroy will serve 2 years and the seat will be up for election in 2028.
Since we had no election in 2025, 2029 will be our next year off from elections.
Jenni will serve 4 years and the seat will be up for election in 2030.
