On the 28th March Cllr Douglas McCall joined the Deputy Mayor of Milton Keynes, the Deputy Mayor of Newport Pagnell, Town Councillors and the MK Dons Manager and players at the official opening of the upgraded Whitethorns Play Area in Newport Pagnell. Lots of children and young people also turned up for the opening.
The upgrade was a joint project between the Town Council and MK Council and was funded by a WREN grant.
The Play Area now has a new climbing frame, an inclusive swing suitable for disabled play, a hard surface single goal and basketball court, new seating accessible by wheelchair and a table tennis table.
