Thank You! From the Afghan Refugees

A HUGE Thank You to all the people who responded when Lib Dem Cabinet Members asked for clothing, toys and other stuff for the Afghan refugees.

MK hosted over 1000 refugees as they first arrived in the UK. Many literally had only the clothes they were wearing. Thanks to MK residents' generosity they left equipped for the next few months. Three quarters have now moved to more permanent homes elsewhere. Surplus donations are being offered to local charities.

Just one day's donations - and they kept coming for a month! Cllr Vanessa McPake helped sort them while Cllr Jenni Ferrans ferried refugees around.
