Storm Water Channel across Chicheley Street Play Area Newport Pagnell to be cleaned out

http://paulalexander.mycouncillor.org.uk/files/2015/05/DSC_0005-reduced.jpgAt long last work is being undertaken to make the drainage channel which goes across the play area at the end of Chicheley Street, Newport Pagnell, a safer environment.

The drainage channel carries all of the domestic surface water from the houses nearby away to the middle of the adjacent field.

For a long this channel has impeded the water from flowing into the adjacent and away to the natural drainage facility because there was so much earth, gravel and silt in the bottom of the channel together with the branches and twigs from the trees.

The Focus team have been assured that this channel will be cleared out in early June, not only making it easier for the water to flow but most certainly making it safer for the children using the play area.
