GovernmentAnnounce New Town Plans
The Government has just announced plans for seven new towns including a "renewed" Milton Keynes - we have to build 40,000 new homes/flats. Here's the link to the announcement - https://www.gov.uk/.../seven-new-towns-proposed-to....
I think this must make approval for Keeper's Place more likely. But there are two things we can do.
First, the Government announcement emphasises the importance of infrastructure before houses. I'm going to write to Steve Reed the Housing minister saying that Keeper's Place is a perfect example of a developer avoiding the need for infrastructure by refusing to build a new road to access their site, instead opting for a totally inappropriate estate road. I'll ask him to tell Hallams they must build this road.
And second there's to be short period of consultation on these new proposals, opening shortly and closing on 18 May. As soon as I have the link I'll share it and then - please - can we all write in again opposing the use of Broughton Grounds Lane and the Broughton Road.
