City councillors demand crackdown on management companies

Broughton Ward Lib Dem Focus Team has called for tough action on management companies who neglect rubbish collection in blocks of flats. This can leave overflowing bins and waste piling up, causing an eyesore and a health hazard for residents.

Cllr Sam Crooks said: 

“Not all management companies are failing to fulfil their responsibilities for waste management, but there is a portion that are. Milton Keynes City Council’s waste teams work incredibly hard, but they need cooperation from management companies. It is time for those companies to step up, take responsibility, and clean up their own mess.”

Wing Tsang added: 

“Residents deserve to live in a clean and safe environment. But with some management companies refusing to play their part, residents are the ones who suffer.”

Liberal Democrats will ensure that firm action is taken on those management companies.
